Terms of use
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply to the Guidamo app and this website, made by sminevbuilds ("we"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
Stay safe
Guidamo talks to you while you walk. Watch where you're going, keep the volume low enough to hear traffic, obey local rules, and don't enter private property, closed sites or dangerous places because the app mentioned them. Directions and distances are approximate.
AI-generated content can be wrong
Stories, answers and descriptions are generated by AI from public sources such as Wikipedia, Wikidata and OpenStreetMap. We work to keep them accurate, but they can contain mistakes or be out of date. Don't rely on them for safety, medical, legal or opening-hours decisions. You can report a wrong story from inside the app.
Your account
- You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age for using online services without parental consent where you live, whichever is higher.
- You can delete your account at any time: see Delete your account.
Fair use
Guidamo is free to use while it's in testing. To keep it that way, some features have a daily limit per account (for example, the number of questions you can ask). Don't misuse the app: no attempts to break or overload it, to scrape its content in bulk, to get around limits, or to use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
Content and credits
Place information comes from Wikipedia and Wikidata (Wikimedia Foundation), OpenStreetMap contributors, and images from Wikimedia Commons, under their respective licences. Maps use OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles. The app itself, its design and its generated audio are ours; you may use them for your own personal, non-commercial exploring.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It may change, be unavailable, or stop working in some places. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens because you relied on the app's content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it applies. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
